Dating back to at least 3,000 years ago, the  Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, is one of China's most ancient celebrations.  The Mid-Autumn Festival is a harvest festival to celebrate the fall equinox. Traditionally, the Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated by visiting   family members, drinking wine, eating sweet, round, fruit-flavored cakes called mooncakes, and playing under the light of the full moon.
